Sarandon and Tim Robbins Join Edwards in NH

That sums it up for me.  He is officially the Nader of 2008.  I don't think this is a good idea, democrats are going to tie him to the Naderites.

John Edwards has jumped the shark.  He is acting like Obama's second.  I know he thinks it is his best strategy but it is not going to work.  Now he is just compounding his mistake by tying himself to these people.

Look I love her as an actress.  But her politics, her choices of candidate, are always driven by ideology that the vast majority of people do not and will never share. Susan and Tim are so misguided.   They get involved when a candidate says absolutely everything they want to hear, but they never stick around for the hard work when they don't get their way. I have no respect for that.  I have respect for the guys like Howard Dean who hang in and work for the common good even when he was bombarded by dirty politics by other democrats and the media.

I will never forget the Academy awards where Moore won an award and got booed.  When Susan came out afterwards to present she looked like she had been hit by a truck because some of the Union  people backstage were less than gracious to Moore.  Well the truth is that they sabotaged Gore in 2000 and they did it to "make a point".  So the audience and the union people made their point and she looked like she didn't believe anyone was entitled to speak out but her.

Edwards is making a mistake. He is not going to win, he is going to hang in there forever coming in third and being a pain in the ass just like Nader and these foolish Naderites are going to encourage him to do so.

Yeah he may pick up some independents of the leftist variety, but in the long run it is not going to do any good and it will turn off a lot of democrats in the long run including union members who do not forget 2000.

Just my opinion folks.  That and 10 bucks will get me overpriced crappy coffee at Starbucks.

If you think for one minute that if Edwards (none / 0)

dropped out his support would go to Clinton - you need to pinch yourself cause you're dreaming.

Obama would just win bigger if edwards dropped out.

where did I say that his support would (none / 0)

go to Clinton?  Of course some of it would and some of it wouldn't.  If you don't know that you need to get a better hobby.

You are like a running banner for morons running at the bottom of the TV screen.  You never address the diary, just run on with unrelated blather.

Yep, he's Nader. I just don't understand why he's not trying to win this thing. Why doesn't he go after BO?  Maybe a deal has been struck between the two that we don't know about. Either way JRE is stupid and doesn't deserve to win.

Re: Sarandon and Tim Robbins Join Edwards in NH (2.00 / 1)

he won't go after Obama because Edwards is Nader20087.  He had decided to go for whatever his version of purity is.  That is the public story because he has to pretend that he really does believe in what he says.  But in the back ground it is all about spite now.  I wouldn't be surprised if he HAS struck a deal with Obama just like Nader struck a deal for money with the republicans.

Were Sarandon and Robbins literally Naderites in 2000?  I didn't know that.

I feel Michael Moore has done his penance but I'm not ready to make nice with the rest of them.
